Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data Kaltro Technologies Ltd collects through kaltrotech.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Who we are
Kaltro Technologies Ltd (RC 9916440), a company registered in Nigeria, is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email [email protected] with "Privacy" in the subject line.
What we collect
When you use the "Start a conversation" form, we collect:
- your name, work email address and company;
- your role and phone number, if you choose to give them;
- the topic you select and the message you write;
- the date and time you sent it, your IP address and the country it indicates, which we use to prevent spam and abuse.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you want to work with us, to discuss and prepare that work. Our basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse, using your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent. Our basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure.
We will not use your details for marketing or sell them to anyone.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email. They process your data only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and processes form submissions;
- Resend, which delivers form submissions to our inbox;
- Google Workspace, which hosts our email;
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when pages load.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Transfers outside Nigeria
These providers may store or process data outside Nigeria, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act allows, such as the providers' contractual data protection commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep what we need for the length of that relationship and any period the law requires. Spam-prevention records of IP addresses are deleted automatically within two hours.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it;
- give it to you, or another organisation, in a commonly used format.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. That does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. We will respond to requests within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Kaltro who need them to reply to you.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
